In a medium sized pot melt the chocolate, butter over low heat. I you want to use a microwave you sure can, just don't over cook your chocolate. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the sugar and vanilla.
Next add in the eggs one at a time mixing in between each addition. Add in the flour, salt and nuts till just combined.
Spread in a greased 9X13 pan.
Bake at 350 F for 30-40 mins until center is soft but not mushy.
Let cool for about ten minuted before cutting.
For the frosting!!
Melt the chocolate and butter in a medium sized pot over low heat. Again if you want to use the microwave you can. Again, don't burn your chocolate!! Remove from heat and let cool for about 5 minutes.
Once cooled a bit, add in the powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth. At this point add in the milk/water little bits at a time until you reach the consistency you're looking for.
Spread over cooled brownies and top with pecan halves or leave plain. Enjoy!!
