Do You Have A Purpose?

Purpose, meaning reason to exist. Everyone is here for a reason, whatever it might be. You might be the one person someone remembers that took the time to answer a question or give directions to an event or smiled at them or made a phone call when they were at the end of their rope and they didn't think anyone cared. There are other things we can do, for instance teaching our children to have respect for the elderly. Hold the door, carry heavy bags to their car, give up your seat and stand on your sturdy and strong legs and feet, and be patient. One day you will be a "blue hair" too. For me, that time is coming way too fast. I told my granddaughter when she used to come to visit to make sure she went to my neighbors as well. I told her may be the only time that week that someone gave them a hug. Those, hugs that is are certainly few and far between these days but man are they necessary. Can you imagine not having contact with anyone for weeks? That's where we are people, right now. And it's lonely. With the pandemic on the rise people need people more than ever. Find purpose in your day. Share it with someone. Check on people even if it's via phone or email. Don't let people go unnoticed. Everyone has an opportunity to make others feel important and loved and needed and not forgotten.
