In Mosiah chapters 2-4 we read about King Benjamin. A man with a love for his people and a willingness to serve them. He reigned supreme for a king. It's great to read about a king who was visited by an angel, and was instructed as to what he should teach his people about the atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ. When hearing his speech, the whole assembly cried out with a voice saying, "Oh have mercy, and apply the atoning blood of Christ, that we may receive forgiveness of our sins, and our hearts may be purified. For we believe in Jesus Christ, the son of God, who created Heaven and Earth, and all things, who shall come down among the children of men...After they had spoken these words, the Spirit of the Lord came upon them and they were filled with joy...". Wow, how many of you have felt that joy at the end of your church service? Having received a remission of your sins and you have no desire but to do good and righteous deeds, you've been given a new life, right. A life filled with joy and happiness and a desire for friends and family to feel the same. Take it to the next step, in order to retain a remission of your sins, and enjoy the blessings of the atonement, we need to see to the needs of our brothers and sisters. I'm inviting you to enjoy the sweet Spirit of the Lord. Let me share the Book of Mormon with you that you may have peace in your home and joy in your life. I love the Lord and I love you.
