Thanksgiving Celebration

We gathered together together to celebrate a day of feasting and the gathering of family and friends to give thanks for the blessings we have enjoyed. Actually, George Washington designated November 26, 1789 as a national day of thanksgiving. A day of fasting and prayer; to give thanks to our Father in Heaven for the bountiful harvest and for this grand country called America. Wow! We sure have strayed from that spiritual occasion.
