No, I'm not going into elections, but there is something else that's on my mind. Medicare. If it's insurance, don't I get a choice whether I get it or not? I should. It shouldn't be automatic. I'm not sickly, and I don't go to the doctor anyway. I don't want someone telling me what I pretty much already know. I know my body. I've only been living with it for over 60 years. Why do I have to go to a personal care to tell me I need to go to a professional or specialist who will then want to give me 2-3 prescriptions to treat symptoms. But, if they looked at my history, they would know I don't like taking meds and because I'm older, right away surgery will be what I "need". And people wonder why I don't got to the doctor. Back to Medicare. $145 is a lot of money on a fixed income and it doesn't cover everything. Besides, if you have to go to the hospital there's another $1,400 up front the minute you walk in. Oh, I can see how great it is! Wow, where do I sign up? NOT, I don't want it. My choice. My gosh, this is stressful.
