Labor Day is to celebrate the working class and to show appreciation and recognition for a job well done. Although it began 12 years earlier in 1882, the official federal holiday, Labor Day, has been celebrated on the first Monday in September since 1894. Labor Day is a celebration that includes parades, picnics, BBQ's, horseshoes and last efforts for water sports because of upcoming fall and cooler weather. School is back in or will be, which means, to the kiddos, the end of summer. "Aw come on, it can't be time for school already." Instead of thinking of yourself, be grateful to those of us who worked for years for the bene
fit of our families, communities, and country. Just say thank you and have a great and safe holiday. You're welcome.
