It's nice to stroll down memory lane. Some people have such wonderful experiences from their past. When they start to tell you, it's as if you are transported to yesteryear within a few words. People become familiar to you, like family. Reliving their joys and pains as their lives unfold, revealing life's lessons, hard won. We as listener's have a unique opportunity to gleen, from all that is said, those lessons that will make our journey memorable? Whether it's Aunt Bessie sharing her recipes of "love" that fed her family and friends or Uncle Bob's guiding hand with firmness as well as love, teaching us responsibility to remember the Lord in all things. Times have changed and our circumstances are different. Basic principles of decency and moral obligation we teach our family have not changed. By the way, when you start down memory lane ole' timer be sure and remember the good stuff, the embarrassing moments and mistakes. Come on, I know I'm not the only one who had them.
